KUMIKO LONG HAT

My inspiration for the name of this hat was the exquisite dragon design of this lavish Italian silk...
Dragons have been a very important part of the Chinese and Japanese folklore.
The word "Kumiko" means beautiful in Japanese and the word "Long" means dragon in Chinese.
Two fantastic ancient oriental cultures united in the design of one hat!

This is the "Kumiko Long" pillbox hat.

A medium 1960's style pillbox hat covered with high quality Italian turquoise silk, simply adorned with a curled bouquet of turquoise and black coque feathers.
Completely hand sewn, is fully lined with red satin fabric.

This eye catching headpiece is worn on a millinery black elastic and looks great pushed forward toward the side but also sits beautifully at the back of the head (crown) in an elegant Jackie O' style!
Fabulously confident and bold design sure to command a lot of attention.
